RECRUITING
EXECUTIVE POSITIONS
Dear UofT undergraduate students,
We're currently looking for students (preferably from lower academic years) who would be interested in joining our club's current executive team.
Roles on the executive team are a high-commitment extracurricular activity. This is also an incredibly rewarding opportunity that will allow you to advance your professional development, connect with your fellow executive club members, and provide you with valuable experience to put on your CV or resume.
The available roles and their descriptions are the following:
VP ARTS & DESIGN
• Responsible for all the club’s design and artwork.
• Responsible for updating the website regularly (both content and design).
* Please note that knowledge and experience using Adobe InDesign is a requirement for this position, and a portfolio of design work may be requested from interested applicants.
GRAPHIC DESIGNER
• Responsible for assisting the VP Arts & Design in completing their duties.
• Responsible for helping to layout our annual academic journal publication, Screenwriters' Perspectives.
* Please note that knowledge and experience using Adobe InDesign is a requirement for these two positions, and portfolios of design work may be requested from interested applicants.
Along with which position you would be interested in taking on, we also ask that you send us a cover letter of around 200-400 words. This letter should include information such as why you want to join the club’s exec team, what prior experience would help you in the role, whether you have been active in any of our club activities (general meetings, workshops, etc.), as well as anything else you feel you should let us know about yourself.
While we encourage all students who are interested to apply, we will be especially looking for Victoria College undergraduates (although this is not a requirement), in order to meet our club's mandated quota of Vic students as a VUSAC club. Additionally, if you know anyone who may be interested (such as a student colleague in the English or Cinema Studies Departments), feel free to share this opportunity with them!
Please send all application materials or questions to vicscreenwriting@gmail.com.
All the best,
– Cailin Ball & Marta Anielska, Co-Presidents 2022-2023
